Hi! I’m the heart behind A Dog’s Best Friend—a passionate pet sitter, dog walker, and animal lover who truly believes pets are family.

With 10 years experience in veterinary medicine, experience fostering dogs (including behavioral & medical cases), and the mindset of a true helicopter dog mom — I’m extremely particular about the care of pets. Your pets are family, and I promise to love and care for them like my own.

When I’m not caring for pets, you’ll find me spending time with my family and friends, exploring with my English Cream Golden Retriever, Summer, soaking up sunshine, going to concerts, staying active, and basically doing anything outdoors.

I also coach CrossFit and work in our local maritime industry.
Additionally, I am a featured writer for Lowcountry Dog Magazine.

After forming my LLC in May 2025, my business grew quickly and I made the leap to doing this full-time by August!

The most pawfect partner

My built-in bestie and a social butterfly who loves everyone and everything she meets. Whether she’s making new furry friends or greeting clients with her smile, she brings so much joy everywhere she goes. Personally, I don’t know what I’d do without her and I frequently joke that she’s me in dog form.

Summer is a certified water lover (pools, the beach, sprinklers—you name it 💦), a snuggle expert, and always ready for a walk or a play session with her favorite toys. She’s a HUGE part of what makes this business so special.

We’ve worked really hard, and continue to put in the work, with guidance from the team at Canine Revolution Dog Training.
… although she still believes “sit” is optional if there are belly rubs available.
